As he prepares for the Augst 4 launch of his new show Anthony Cumia took to the airwaves Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST with a live, free test of his equipment and studio.

Cumia publicized the test on his Twitter feed @anthonycumia

The former co-host of the Opie and Anthony Show for 20 years before he was fired by SiriusXM a few weeks ago (in a misguided move after the host used Twitter to rant after he was brutally attacked) returns August 4 with a subscription-based program on anthonycumia.com.

He has hinted that his former partner Greg "Opie" Hughes and the rest of their team may join him when their SiriusXM deals expire in October.

Cumia is broadcasting from his Long Island home, which Hughes has said he does not want to commute to but comments Cumia posted on Twitter yesterday suggest that a Manhattan studio may be in the works.
