Stanton Warriors are planning to put on a big performance next month at Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

The duo from London laid down "a fresh new sound" with the seminal 'Stanton Sessions', and was then signed to XL Recordings, when they became two of the hottest music producers in the world just overnight.

Their sound is a unique blend of house and hip-hop, along with "electro punkishness" that has remained unrivaled in their genre for over 10 years.

The duo plans to bring the party down to Miami in just a few weeks for Ultra, one of the biggest electornic music festivals in the world, but in the meantime, Empty Lighthouse had the chance to talk to the fab electronic dance music producers before heading to the party of the year.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: How did you first get your start in music?
STANTON WARRIORS: Early 80's when Electro first surfaced. I was like 'what is this?!' I love it!

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: Who are your musical influences?
STANTON WARRIORS: Funk, Soul, Jazz, Electro, Disco and all things that came from these sounds.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: Who do you listen to in your spare time, other hobbies, etc?
STANTON WARRIORS: Sleep, food and more sleep! Music is a full time encompassing job!

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What has been your most memorable experience while touring?
STANTON WARRIOR: Playing at Shambhalla in Cananda one year.

The show was outdoors under a meteor shower, illuminated by some kind of northern lights light show up in the sky!

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What is the craziest thing you've seen a fan do to get into a show / on stage, etc.?
STANTON WARRIORS: Get real Stanton Warriors tattoos. The current count is 57! Gets you in free for life!

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What advice would you give to other young people looking to succeed in the industry?
STANTON WARRIORS: Be original and you are more likely to get recognised. There is too much of the same out there.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: When you hit a creativity block, what re-inspires you?
STANTON WARRIORS: A good gig inspires me to get back in the studio and a good studio sessions inspires getting back out on the road.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: How do you manage your time between your music and personal life?
STANTON WARRIORS: What personal life?

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What are your upcoming plans in regards to more touring, releases and producing new music?
STANTON WARRIORS: International touring all over for the rest of the year, a new album out this year and lots of juicy collaborations in the pipeline also.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: If you could invent anything, what would it be?
STANTON WARRIORS: A spare me, so iI could send one out to DJ, while the other one stayed in the studio.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: If stranded on an island, what 3 things would you want to have with you?
STANTON WARRIORS: WiFi, laptop and coconut water.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: Do you have any rituals or things you must have/do before a show?
STANTON WARRIORS: Go for a piss, get my alcohol bottles lined up behind the decks, turn the monitors up and big up the dj playing beforehand.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What are you most excited about the upcoming festival season?
STANTON WARRIORS: We love festivals! Cant wait to sit backstage with all our mates, miss all the other bands/DJs and then moan about it afterwards. Standard.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: Anything else you would like to add?
STANTON WARRIORS: This looks to be our most exciting year ever and as long as the world doesn't end, it's gonna be a hell of a ride!
